Lollypop is a completely free and open source and freely distributed graphical application implemented in Python/GTK+ for the GNOME desktop environment, designed from the offset to act as a simple and intuitive music player software.

If you’re using one of the distributions of Linux (or a derivative of them) mentioned in the next section, you can easily install Lollypop from the main software repositories using the built-in package manager.

Otherwise, you must compile the program from sources.

Officially supported GNU/Linux distributions include Arch Linux, Fedora, openSUSE, Debian and Ubuntu.
