Super OS is a remastered version of Ubuntu, with codecs and extra software, with focus on offline usability.

Unity is the default graphical desktop environment of Super OS, so no surprises here.

On the other hand, the distro includes a plethora of open-source applications that are not included by default in the upstream Ubuntu release.

Furthermore, Super OS has its own repository in the case that specific versions of the programs are required, even though, to start off, anything prepared for Ubuntu should work in this Linux distribution.
